Structural Engineer

Role Purpose

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end structural design management and coordination for Raheja Universals real estate projects. The role involves design review, consultant coordination, site support, and ensuring structural safety, quality, cost optimisation, and statutory compliance across all stages of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Lead and review structural design concepts, calculations, drawings, and specifications for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
• Ensure designs comply with IS Codes, NBC, local bylaws, and best engineering practices.
• Evaluate alternative structural systems for optimisation of cost, time, and constructability.
• Review GFC drawings, BBS, shop drawings, and construction methodologies.

Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the single-point coordinator between:
• Structural consultants
• Architects
• MEP & faade consultants
• PMC, contractors, and internal teams
• Ensure design intent is clearly communicated and coordinated across disciplines.
• Resolve design clashes, constructability issues, and site-driven changes.

Project Execution Support

• Provide technical support to site teams during execution.
• Participate in site reviews, inspections, and quality audits.
• Address site queries, RFIs, and deviations with timely technical inputs.

Cost, Quality & Risk Management

• Support value engineering initiatives without compromising safety or quality.
• Identify structural risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to approved budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

Approvals & Compliance

• Support statutory approvals related to structural design.
• Coordinate with third-party proof consultants and authorities when required.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain structured documentation of design decisions, revisions, and approvals.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management reviews.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.E./M.Tech – Structures preferred).
• 14+ years of experience, predominantly in real estate development.
• Strong exposure to high-rise residential buildings, basements, podiums, and mixed-use projects.
• Experience working on developer-side roles preferred.
