Structural Engineer

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing and reviewing complex structural engineering and analysis activities, leading structural teams, supporting offshore and large-module projects, and providing technical solutions across design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning stages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and review complex structural analysis and design for offshore and onshore projects.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and the technical point of contact for structural engineering activities.
• Lead a group of Structural Engineers as the Lead Structural Engineer for larger projects.
• Perform and review dynamic, transportation, lifting, and installation analyses.
• Carry out offshore structural analysis and design for FPSO and offshore structures using SACS, STAAD.Pro/STAAD Offshore, or equivalent tools.
• Perform fatigue analysis of structures, connections, and structural components.
• Analyze and design large modules, including modules exceeding 1500 tons, for lifting, transportation by sea/land, and installation scenarios.
• Review and develop sea fastening concepts and drawings, rigging schemes, and SPMT trailer arrangements.
• Provide technical support for resolving shop, fabrication, and production-related structural issues.
• Provide structural analysis support for Balance of Plant (BoP) engineering and resolve fabrication or production issues.
• Review structural models and advise on appropriate sectional sizes and structural configurations during concept and 3D model development.
• Coordinate complex engineering activities with Professional Engineers across regions and with Project Engineering, Mechanical, Piping, E&I, and other disciplines.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to Structural Engineers to ensure technical quality and structural integrity.
• Support proposal-stage engineering activities and develop engineering parameters, datasheets, and construction documents.
• Provide technical support during specification, procurement, fabrication, installation, and operation of project-related equipment and structures.
• Conduct internal and external technical reviews and provide engineering recommendations.
• Manage multiple projects and resources, monitor budgeted hours versus actual hours, and ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience in Structural Engineering and Analysis.
• Proficiency in SACS and/or STAAD.Pro/STAAD Offshore.
• Experience in offshore structures, FPSO projects, and large-module engineering.
• Strong knowledge of lifting, transportation, installation, sea fastening, rigging, and SPMT operations.
• Experience in dynamic and fatigue analysis of structures and connections.
• Ability to review and approve complex structural engineering deliverables.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and team leadership skills.
• Good understanding of structural design codes, client specifications, and project requirements.
• Ability to provide technical solutions during fabrication and construction stages.
