Structural Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to support a major rail infrastructure programme, working with experienced engineers to turn design and construction information into accurate as-built records. This is a flexible early-career opportunity with structured mentoring, international exposure and the chance to apply digital and AI tools to real engineering challenges, with occasional visits to the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing structural drawings, models, calculations, and construction records to support accurate as-built documentation.
• Help prepare and update as-built drawings and technical records, compare information from multiple sources, and raise technical queries where required.
• Support basic structural checks and calculations under supervision while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams through project meetings.
• Contribute to improving delivery efficiency by exploring digital tools, automation, and innovative engineering solutions.

Is this role right for you

• Degree (or expected degree) in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2-8 years of relevant experience in structural or civil engineering
• Good understanding of structural engineering principles and design concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach.
• Desirable: Experience through internships, placements, or academic projects, with exposure to Revit, AutoCAD, or structural analysis software.
• Interest in digital engineering, automation, AI tools, and working towards professional accreditation (ICE, IStructE, or similar).
