Structural Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities :

Structural Design & Analysis
- Design structural components for buildings and infrastructure including
foundations, beams, slabs, columns, retaining walls, and other load-bearing
structures.
- Perform structural analysis using engineering software to ensure safety,
stability, and durability.
- Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Review and approve structural designs prepared by consultants or
subcontractors.
II. Project Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and project teams to integrate
structural designs into overall project plans.
- Participate in project planning, feasibility studies, and cost estimations.
- Provide technical support during tendering and project execution stages.
III. Contract Administration
- Draft, review, and manage contracts (FIDIC or equivalent).
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Handle contractual correspondence and documentation.
IV. Site Supervision & Technical Support
- Conduct site inspections to ensure structural work is executed according to
approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with structural safety
standards.
- Resolve on-site structural issues and provide engineering solutions.
V. Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all structural works comply with national and international construction
standards and building codes.

- Review material specifications and verify structural materials such as concrete,
steel, and reinforcement.
- Ensure quality control procedures are followed during construction.
VI. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare engineering reports, design documentation, and progress updates.
- Maintain records of design revisions, structural calculations, and inspection
reports.
- Assist in preparing project completion and handover documentation.
VII. Risk Management & Safety
- Identify structural risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all structural works adhere to safety regulations and best engineering
practices.
- Support implementation of site safety procedures and structural integrity
monitoring.
