Role Overview :- The Telesys STP Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and integration, of Telesys Signal Transfer Point (STP) platforms in telecom core network environments, with a strong focus on SS7 signaling, routing optimization, and high availability.

Key Responsibilities

* Handson experience in designing, installing, configuring, and commissioning Telesys STP nodes

* Configure point codes, linksets, routes, and Global Title Translation (GTT)

* Configure and manage SS7 signaling links including Alinks, Blinks, and Clinks

* Prepare MOPs and implementation artifacts for software upgrades and changes

* Integrate STP with core network elements such as MSC, HLR, SMSC, IN, and signaling gateways

* Support legacy SS7 and interworking scenarios based on customer requirements

* Strong working knowledge of the SS7 protocol stack:

MTP Level 1 / 2 / 3

SCCP (connectionless & connectionoriented)

TCAP (basic operations)

* Handle E.164, E.212, and E.214 numbering plans

* Implement routing logic based on IMSI, MSISDN, and GT patterns

* Analyze and troubleshoot signaling failures using traces and logs

* Perform protocollevel debugging including SCCP and TCAP decoding

* Use tools such as Wireshark/tcpdump for signaling analysis

* Optimize routing tables and signaling load distribution

* Perform health checks, capacity planning, and performance analysis

* Ensure high availability and optimal utilization of STP resources

* Understanding of 2G/3G/4G/5G signaling architectures, particularly:

* MAP signaling

* MAPDiameter interworking concepts

* Familiarity with Diameter signaling in legacytoLTE/5G evolution scenarios

* Experience with baremetal, virtualized, and cloud platforms such as KVM, VMware, Kubernetesbased CNF

* Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
