Store Manager

Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Manage day-to-day operations of the project store.
• Maintain accurate records of material receipts, issues, returns, and stock balances.
• Verify all incoming materials against Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Challans (DC), and invoices.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of construction materials.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and initiate timely material requisitions.
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate with the Procurement, Site Engineering, Accounts, and Project teams for smooth material movement.
• Maintain Material Inward Register, Issue Register, Gate Pass Register, and Inventory Reports.
• Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper inventory management practices.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and damaged materials and submit reports to management.
• Supervise store assistants and ensure discipline and housekeeping within the store.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and audit requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consumption reports.
• Coordinate with vendors during material delivery and resolve quantity or quality discrepancies.
