1. What is the main purpose of this role?

The Store Manager is responsible for the overall success of the Urban Ladder retail store.

The person will manage:

• Store sales & revenue
• Store operations
• Customer experience
• Store profitability / P&L
• Inventory
• Store team
• Employee performance
• Customer escalations
• Brand experience

In simple words:

The Store Manager is the overall owner of the store's sales, operations, customers, team and profitability.

2. Main Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue

The candidate should be capable of:

• Achieving monthly/annual store sales targets
• Driving store revenue
• Monitoring individual team targets
• Identifying ways to increase sales
• Improving conversion and customer experience
• Taking responsibility for overall store P&L

Team Management

This is a people-management-heavy role.

The Store Manager will:

• Manage Design Consultants / Sales team
• Set individual targets
• Monitor daily performance
• Coach and mentor employees
• Motivate the team
• Identify training requirements
• Improve team productivity
• Handle employee-related issues

Customer Experience

Urban Ladder is focused on furniture and home solutions, so the candidate should be comfortable interacting with customers.

They need to:

• Handle customer escalations
• Understand customer requirements
• Ensure excellent customer service
• Help customers with product selection
• Maintain the Urban Ladder brand experience
• Improve customer satisfaction

Inventory & Operations

The Store Manager also monitors:
