Stock Room Assistant

Key Deliverables (Essential functions & Responsibilities of the Job):

As a Stock Room Assistant, your key responsibilities include:

• Manage Stockroom: Ensure the stockroom runs smoothly according to M&S procedures.

• Handle Deliveries: Check and unpack deliveries, match them with paperwork, and highlight any issues like shortages or damage.

• Organize Stock: Store stock in the correct locations and keep it accessible and safe. Ensure the physical stock matches the quantity on cartons.

• Track Stock: Keep track of stock levels and locations. Rotate and replenish stock regularly.

• Complete Paperwork: Fill out and file paperwork accurately and on time.

• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the stockroom organized and tidy, and manage non-saleable items like POS materials.

• Assist with Stock Takes: Help with stock counts and preparation.

• Improve Systems: Contribute to improving stock storage and control systems.

• Physical Work: Be prepared for physical tasks, including lifting heavy boxes and performing various movements.

Key Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience in stockroom or warehouse work is helpful. Basic IT skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical Tasks: Must handle merchandise and materials, including climbing ladders, bending, reaching, and moving heavy items. Be able to stand or walk for long periods.
