Statutory/Forest Liasioning Officer

Role Objective:

To manage and coordinate all statutory approvals, forest clearances, regulatory permissions, and government liaison activities required for smooth execution of transmission line, substation, and infrastructure projects. The role involves close coordination with Forest Departments, Revenue Authorities, District Administration, and various government agencies to ensure timely project clearances and compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory & Regulatory Approvals

• Obtain statutory approvals, permits, NOCs, and licenses from central, state, and local authorities.
• Coordinate with government departments for project-related approvals and compliance requirements.
• Monitor validity and renewal of statutory permissions.

Forest Clearance & Compliance

• Manage Forest Clearance (FC) proposals under applicable forest regulations.
• Coordinate with Forest Department officials for surveys, inspections, and approval processes.
• Track progress of Stage-I and Stage-II forest clearances.
• Ensure compliance with forest and environmental approval conditions.

Government Liaisoning

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with government authorities and regulatory agencies.
• Represent the organization before district, state, and central government bodies.
• Facilitate resolution of project-related issues with administrative authorities.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with Land Acquisition, ROW, Legal, Engineering, and Project teams.
• Support project planning by identifying approval requirements and associated timelines.
• Highlight risks related to statutory and forest clearances and recommend mitigation measures.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain records of applications, approvals, correspondences, and compliance reports.
• Create status reports and dashboards on approval progress.
• Maintain statutory compliance documentation for audits and reviews.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Forestry, Environmental Science, Law, Public Administration, or related discipline.

Experience:

• 8–15 years of experience in statutory approvals, forest clearances, regulatory compliance, and government liaisoning.
• Experience in Transmission Sector
