Job Description

Bata India is looking for enthusiastic MBA HR freshers who are interested in building a career in Human Resources within a dynamic retail organisation. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who have a good understanding of HR fundamentals, strong communication skills, business awareness and a willingness to learn.

The selected candidates will gain exposure to HR Business Partnering, Retail HR, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, HR Operations and employee relations while working closely with business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support HR activities and employee-related initiatives across assigned locations.
• Assist in recruitment, manpower planning, bulk hiring and coordination with business teams.
• Support employee engagement, retention and people development initiatives.
• Work with business managers to understand workforce requirements and employee-related challenges.
• Analyse basic HR data, identify trends and support action plans for improving employee retention and productivity.
• Assist in implementing HR policies, processes and compliance requirements.
• Support employee communication, grievance handling and HR operations.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of HR activities.
• Prepare HR reports, maintain employee records and support HR dashboards.
• Participate in initiatives related to performance management, learning and development, and organisational culture.

Required Skills & Competencies

• MBA/PGDM in HR from a recognised institution.
• Basic understanding of HR concepts, recruitment, employee engagement and HR operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good business understanding and interest in the retail industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence to interact with different stakeholders and present ideas clearly.
• A proactive attitude, ownership and willingness to take responsibility.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel and relocate based on business requirements.

• Interest in retail, FMCG, fashion or other consumer-facing businesses.
• Open to travel and relocation across India.
