Staff/ Sr. Staff Engineer

The Opportunity We are looking for a Staff Full stack Engineer with strong frontend expertise to help shape, scale, and continuously evolve the KogniTwin platform. In this role, you will take ownership of application architecture across the stack, drive frontend excellence, and influence engineering standards across multiple teams and products.

What You’ll Do

• Define and evolve application architecture across frontend and backend systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Design and build modern, data-rich web applications to visualise and interact with complex industrial data.
• Take end-to-end ownership of critical features across the stack from discovery to release and observability.
• Drive frontend architecture, component design, performance optimisation, and technical quality across teams.
• Contribute to backend services, APIs, and data integration layers where needed. - Establish and promote best practices in design systems, code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
• Partner with Product, Design, Backend, and Platform teams to align on architecture and delivery.
• Mentor engineers and guide teams in adopting scalable patterns and modern engineering practices.

What You’ll Bring (Must-Have)

• 10+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Deep hands-on expertise with a modern frontend framework (Angular preferred).
• Proven experience defining and scaling frontend architecture for complex, enterprise-grade applications.
• Strong experience with Node.js and backend service development (APIs, microservices).
• Solid understanding of API design, frontend-backend integration, and state management.
• Strong experience in Object-Oriented Design, system design, and service-oriented architecture.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks, observability, and CI/CD practices.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and drive engineering standards across teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with MEAN stack (Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Angular).
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, or distributed systems.
• Experience with design systems, accessibility, and frontend performance optimisation.
• Experience with 3D visualization libraries (e.g., WebGL, Three.js, Babylon.js).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Experience architecting or developing mobile applications (e.g., Flutter or similar frameworks).
• Exposure to data platforms, analytics systems, or GenAI/LLM-based applications
