About this role
Job Description
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, consents, and statutory requirements applicable to the cement plant.
- Monitor and control environmental parameters including air emissions, ambient air quality, water quality, noise levels, and fugitive dust emissions.
- Maintain and monitor environmental control systems such as ESPs, Bag Filters, STP, ETP, and dust suppression systems to ensure effective pollution control.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring, testing, data analysis, and submission of statutory reports to regulatory authorities.
- Implement and sustain ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and facilitate internal and external environmental audits.
- Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal, recycling activities, and ensure compliance with waste management rules.
- Liaise with Pollution Control Boards, government authorities, laboratories, and consultants for environmental compliance, inspections, and approvals.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, resource conservation programs, environmental awareness training, and continuous improvement projects to enhance the plant's environmental performance.
