Staff Nurse

Role & responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and assistance to patients before, during, and after diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor and record patients vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen saturation, as required.
• Assist doctors and clinical staff during examinations and medical procedures.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic investigations and explain procedures as required.
• Administer medications and treatments only as prescribed and within the scope of nursing practice.
• Maintain patient records, nursing notes, consent forms, and other relevant documentation.
• Follow infection prevention, hygiene, sterilization, and biomedical waste disposal protocols.
• Ensure nursing equipment and emergency supplies are available and maintained properly.
• Identify changes in patients’ conditions and promptly inform the concerned doctor or clinical in-charge.
• Provide basic emergency assistance within the scope of training and competence.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure respectful, professional patient handling.
• Coordinate with reception, laboratory, radiology, and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Follow company policies, clinical protocols, and applicable healthcare regulations.
