Staff Nurse - Pimpri-Chinchwad

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Post-Operative Care Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care to patients during the immediate post-surgical recovery phase. The role involves close monitoring of patients, maintaining a sterile environment, administering medications, and ensuring safe handovers to ICU or ward staff in compliance with clinical protocols and patient safety standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive post-operative nursing care and recovery support to surgical patients
• Prepare patients for surgery both physically and emotionally, ensuring comfort and confidence
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterile conditions within the operating and recovery areas
• Receive detailed patient handover from ICU or OT staff upon arrival in the recovery unit
• Connect patients to hemodynamic and vital sign monitoring equipment
• Conduct regular pain assessments and administer prescribed analgesics as per physician orders
• Position patients appropriately according to surgical and anesthesia guidelines
• Execute post-operative orders including oxygen therapy, IV fluids, medications, and blood transfusions
• Monitor patient vitals, airway reflexes, consciousness levels, and overall recovery status
• Accurately document nursing interventions, medications administered, and patient responses
• Assess patient readiness for transfer or discharge based on stable vitals and clinical recovery parameters
• Provide a complete verbal and written handover to ICU or ward nursing staff during patient transfer
• Respond promptly and effectively to post-operative emergencies and complications
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience: 1 to 5 years in OT, PACU, or post-operative nursing care
  
• Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / GNM / M.Sc. Nursing
  
• Strong knowledge of operating theatre procedures, post-operative protocols, and aseptic techniques
  
• Patient-centric mindset with a compassionate and empathetic approach to care
  
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
  
• Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills
  
• High attention to detail with accurate clinical documentation practices
