Staff Engineer - C++

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer with deep expertise in C/C++, Java, Spring Framework, PostgreSQL, c-treeDB (FairCom), and Oracle to lead the development, support, optimization, and modernization of critical legacy platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering, architecture, and technical leadership to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise applications built using C/C++ and Java.
• Drive the modernization and performance optimization of legacy systems.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and adoption of engineering best practices.
• Lead large-scale business and technical transformations by strategically applying AI, driving architectural modernization, and guiding teams through complex, high-impact initiatives.
• Evaluate, design, and integrate AI toolsets across the entire SDLC to ensure scalable architectures, consistent engineering standards, and alignment with long-term technical strategy.
• Leverage AI-enhanced developer IDEs and AI assistants to accelerate engineering productivity, optimize workflows, and enable teams to deliver higher-quality solutions faster.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on expertise in C and C++.
• Strong experience with Core Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Experience in legacy application development and modernization.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL, c-treeDB (FairCom), and Oracle Database.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, query optimization, performance tuning, and database design.
• Experience with REST APIs, System Design, Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Multithreading, and Concurrent Programming.
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Shell Scripting.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience with AI-enhanced developer IDEs and AI assistants, with a strong track record of improving engineering productivity and development workflows.
