About this role
Location: Gurugram (onsite) | Experience: 2-3 years | CTC: 5-6 LPA | Type: Full-time
About the role
We're looking for an SSRS Reporting Developer to build the stored procedures and SSRS reports for our pathology lab product. The role is focused: write the SQL behind each report, build the report, and make sure every value printed is correct.
What you'll do
- Write and optimise T-SQL stored procedures that feed each report
- Build pathology lab reports in SSRS, including:
- Patient test result reports with units, reference ranges and high/low flags
- Multi-department reports (e.g. haematology, biochemistry) and narrative histopathology reports
- Letterhead, pathologist signatures, barcodes or QR codes and page layouts ready to print or send as PDF
- Lab MIS reports such as daily sample counts, turnaround time and pending reports
- Turn report requests from the lab and product team into a clear spec before building
- Validate every report against source data and sample cases before release
- Deploy reports to Report Server and fix issues raised by QA or users
Work expectations
- Small changes to an existing report delivered in 1-2 working days
- A new patient report or MIS report delivered in 3-5 working days, including its stored procedure
- Zero wrong values on patient reports: results, ranges and flags checked before release
- Reports render correctly as PDF and print without layout breaks
- Keeps a simple list of reports, their stored procedures and change history
Not in this role
- Power BI dashboards or data-warehouse design
- SSIS/ETL pipelines or SSAS cubes
- Database administration (backups, server setup)
- Application (front-end or back-end) development
What you need
- 2-3 years building reports in SSRS on Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong T-SQL: stored procedures, joins, aggregations, CTEs and window functions
- Report parameters, expressions, grouping, sub-reports and conditional formatting
- Print-ready layouts: headers, footers, page breaks, images and barcodes
- Basic query tuning for slow reports
- Care for accuracy and attention to detail
Good to have
- Experience with pathology lab, LIS or other healthcare reports
- Familiarity with lab terms: test panels, reference ranges, turnaround time
- Report Server subscriptions and role-based security
