Job Description: Security Vulnerability Coordinator Location: Remote / Office-based (Supporting EST Business Hours) Shift: 8/5 Coverage (EST) Role Criticality: High (SLA-Compliant) Role Overview As a Security Vulnerability Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security posture of our infrastructure and application environments. You will be responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle—from initial scanning and analysis to remediation tracking and final closure. This role requires a blend of technical understanding, exceptional coordination skills, and the ability to act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between client stakeholders, onshore/offshore teams, and various application groups. Key Responsibilities
- Vulnerability Lifecycle Management: Analyse weekly scan reports from Tenable, SentinelOne, and Darktrace to identify risks across Infrastructure and Application environments.
- Ticket Orchestration: Convert scan findings into actionable tickets (~300+ monthly) via the helpdesk and route them to the appropriate technical teams.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Host and lead daily stand-ups with Application, Infrastructure, and Patch Management teams to monitor remediation progress.
- SLA & Compliance Tracking: Ensure all security cases are resolved within strict SLA timelines. Escalate roadblocks to leadership or client stakeholders as required.
- Reporting & Governance: Prepare and present weekly status reports and SLA compliance files to the client. Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) and governance meetings to coordinate change windows and remediation efforts.
- Continuous Improvement: Initiate trend analysis on recurring vulnerabilities and propose Continual Service Improvement (CSI) or Service Improvement Plans (SIP) to proactively reduce risk.
- Technical Research: Stay updated on the latest security threats and remediation techniques across a diverse stack (Log4J, TLS, Windows/Linux, .NET, Java, etc.).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Coordination & Leadership: Proven experience managing cross-functional teams (Onshore/Offshore) and leading client-facing calls.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder management.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex vulnerability scan data and translate it into clear, actionable tasks for support teams.
- Process Oriented: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and evolving client requirements. Technical Environment Candidates should have a foundational understanding of vulnerabilities associated with and not limited to:
- Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, Windows Defender.
- Applications/Middleware: .NET, Java, Apache, Middleware, Website Security (HTTP/TLS).
- Databases & Tools: SQL, Visual Studio, Open Shares.
- Network & Infrastructure: Network protocols, Voice systems, Log4J.
- Security Tools: Tenable, SentinelOne, Darktrace.
