Sr. Web Developer

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join Zurich as a (Senior) Web Developer to build innovative web applications serving customers across the Asia Pacific Region. You will be part of the Zurich Edge team, building an end-to-end digital-native insurance platform that enables new distribution models. The platform is designed to support high levels of automation and straight-through processing across the entire insurance value chain.

Responsibilities:

• Develop web applications based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Build responsive and scalable user interfaces using HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript (Vanilla JS).
• Develop applications using Next.js or ReactJS.
• Integrate applications with backend services using REST APIs and JSON.
• Implement state management for modern web applications.
• Perform unit testing (Jest) and integration testing.
• Deploy applications across multiple environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform defect analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend applications with backend services.
• Develop reusable UI components and shared functions.
• Maintain technical documentation and code documentation.
• Support CI/CD processes in AWS environments, including automated builds, testing, and deployment.
• Participate in occasional travel when required.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Next.js or ReactJS.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5
• Strong knowledge of CSS3
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (Vanilla JS).
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
• Experience with State Management.
• Experience in unit testing using Jest.
• Knowledge of AWS CI/CD.
• Experience in Application Security.
• Experience in Financial Services and/or Insurance (Preferred).
• Experience with: Jira, GitHub, SonarQube (preferred).
