What will you be doing in this role
Strategic Leadership & Industry Authority
- Technology Roadmap & Vision: Own the strategic direction of ATE ecosystem in TI while collaborating with AT sites, establishing TIs test methodologies , quality benchmarks and technical judgments that form the foundation for TIs next generation of products.
- Industry & Customer Influence: Serve as TIs technical authority in high-stakes customer engagements and partner discussions, taking complex decisions and communicating with authority and clarity.
- Design Governance & Quality Authority: Act as the quality authority for the data analytics, driving yield improvements and setting the quality standards that projects across TI measure themselves against.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Orchestrate deep collaboration with AT Vendors, TIs IT and data infrastructure, and IP teams to eliminate flow bottlenecks, align execution priorities, and raise the implementation bar across all TI projects.

Youll develop and implement testing and evaluation methods and create test plans based on production specifications and requirements. Youll use your talent to perform testing and compiling and analyzing data for review and identification of manufacturing and production issues.

Are you looking to grow your career in production testing at one of the leading semiconductor companies in the world At Texas Instruments (TI) a Production Test Engineer ensures manufactured components and assembled products meet company standards and objectives. Youll develop and implement testing and evaluation methods and create test plans based on production specifications and requirements. Youll use your talent to perform testing and compiling and analyzing data for review and identification of manufacturing and production issues.
Responsibilities include:
- Utilize analog circuit analysis and Automated Test Equipment debug knowledge to troubleshoot test, quality, and device performance issues
- Driving decisions on test strategy: optimizing trade-offs between test cost, coverage / performance and quality
- Develop test processes, fixtures and software for automated test equipment for optimized production use
- Establish and influence next-generation test solutions that help achieve the lowest obtainable costs on future products
- Facilitate and support new multi-factory manufacturing test and assembly flows
- Analyze test solution robustness through correlated performance and sameness verification techniques
- Perform yield analysis and work with fabs for yield improvements where applicable
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, electrical & computer engineering, mathematics, physics or a related field of study
- 12+ years work related experience
- ATE expertise. Experience with ETS88, ETS800, Advantest V93K / EXAscale and Handlers is highly desirable
- Expertise in Data Analytics and Yield analysis
- Probe card hardware and circuit design experience
- Software development experience
- Excellent debugging skills and strong VLSI fundamentals
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of production data analysis for both Engineering and Mass Production
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Problem solving skills, including meticulous attention to details
- Ability to communicate effectively across functional boundaries and with upper management
- Ability to work in stressful situations and arrive at creative and effective solutions
- Ability to think strategically
