Responsibilities - Role: ServiceNow Developer
- Experience: 8 to 10 years
- ServiceNow Development ITSM Lead the design, development, and enhancement of ServiceNow applications and modules.
- Drive end-to-end implementation of ITSM processes including: Incident Management; Change Management; Problem Management; Request Management; Knowledge Management; Service Catalog.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow applications using best practices.
- Develop and maintain: Business Rules; Script Includes; Client Scripts; UI Policies; UI Actions; ACLs; Notifications; Scheduled Jobs.
- Ensure platform scalability, maintainability, and upgrade readiness.
- Integration Development: Design and implement complex integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications.
- Develop outbound and inbound integrations using: REST APIs; SOAP Web Services; Scripted REST APIs; IntegrationHub; MID Server; Webhooks; Import Sets; Transform Maps.
- Work with authentication mechanisms including: OAuth 2.0; Basic Authentication; Mutual Authentication; API Key Integrations.
- Troubleshoot and optimize integration performance.
- Automated Testing (ATF): Define and implement enterprise ATF strategy.
- Develop automated regression test suites.
- Create reusable ATF test frameworks.
- Automate testing for: Catalog Items; Record Producers; ITSM Workflows; Integration Scenarios; Service Portal Components; Workspace Components.
- Support platform upgrades through automated validation.
- Flow Designer Workflow Automation: Design and build advanced Flow Designer solutions.
- Create reusable Subflows and Actions.
- Develop complex approval workflows.
- Implement event-driven automation and orchestration.
- Optimize existing workflows for performance and maintainability.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership across ServiceNow development initiatives.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards.
- Participate in solution design workshops and architecture discussions.
- Assist in effort estimation, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Collaborate with architects to define platform roadmaps and technical strategies.
- Governance Best Practices: Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices.
- Follow secure coding standards and governance processes.
- Maintain technical documentation and solution designs.
- Support platform upgrades and release management activities.
- Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
