Sr Software Validation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the creation of test cases using own in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability).
• Creates traceability records, from test cases back to requirements.
• Produces test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services.
• Specifies requirements for environment, data, resources and tools. Interprets, executes and documents complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards.
• Records and analyses actions and results, and maintains a defect register.
• Reviews test results and modifies tests if necessary.
• Provides reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project.
• Reports on system quality and collects metrics on test cases.
• Provides specialist advice to support others.

• Conducts formal audits or reviews to investigates the conduct of processes to ensure compliance with organizational standards for activities, processes, data, products or services.
• For projects, development or support activities; plans, organizes and conducts audits and determines whether appropriate quality control has been applied.
• Collates, collects and examines records, analyses the evidence and drafts all or part of formal compliance reports.
• Determines the risks associated with findings and non-compliances and proposes corrective actions

• Implements stakeholder engagement / communications plan.
• Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.
• Collects and uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management.
• Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.
• Understands and collaborates on the analysis of user/customer needs and represents this in their work. - Influences customers, suppliers and partners at account level.
• Engages across all stakeholders to ensure that user needs are being met throughout - Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding.

• Provides advice and guidance to support adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards.
• Tailors processes in line with agreed standards and evaluation of methods and tools. - Reviews and improves usage and application of methods and tools.

• Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services.
• Determines problem fixes/remedies.
• Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.

• Proven experience managing and leading mentoring colleagues.
• Proven line management and leadership management
• Experience using tools to communicate progress to Stakeholders.
• Experience of regulated environments (GxP, Financial, etc ) or relevant testing experience from another domain that is transferable
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum), UML, Object Orientated, Data
• Modeling, Process Modeling and/or other development methodologies
• Experience of working in and knowledge of the life sciences sector
• Solid Professional experience in the same or very similar role
• Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline (Maths, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience
• English: Fluent
