Sr. Software Testing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Functional, regression, integration, system, and smoke testing for web applications.
• Analyze business and functional requirements to prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute manual test cases and report defects using defect tracking tools.
• Validate responsive web applications across different browsers and devices.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms.
• Validate API requests, responses, authentication mechanisms, status codes, and data integrity.
• Create and maintain API test collections and automate API execution where applicable.
• Develop and maintain basic automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test execution reports.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure product quality.
• Perform database validation using SQL queries when required.
• Participate in root cause analysis and assist in resolving production issues.
• Ensure proper test documentation including test plans, test cases, execution reports, and defect reports.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve QA processes and test coverage.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to improve productivity in test case generation, documentation, defect analysis, and automation support.
