Sr Software Engineer

Were looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend to join our Documents and Specifications team in Bangalore. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product Technology are the driving force behind our innovative, top-rated global platform. Were a customer-centric group that encompasses engineering, product, product design and data, security and business systems. In this role, youll design, build, and scale robust services that support documents and specifications - one of the most heavily used tools in the Procore platform. Youll own and drive the implementation of complex features, mentor engineers, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, customer-centric solutions.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager, Software Engineering and will be based in our Bangalore, India office. Were looking for someone to join us immediately.

What youll do

• Design, develop, and maintain modern frontend applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• Build intuitive, responsive, and performant user experiences that support customer onboarding and adoption workflows.

• Develop conversational and chat-based user interfaces, including AI-powered workflows and real-time interactions.

• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate REST and GraphQL APIs into frontend applications.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following modern frontend engineering best practices.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, and design sessions.

• Use AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to improve engineering productivity and code quality.

• Work closely with globally distributed engineering teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences.

What were looking for

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experience.

• 5+ years of professional frontend software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience building scalable web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST and GraphQL APIs.

• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, component design, state management, performance optimization, and responsive design principles.

• Experience writing automated tests and maintaining high code quality through code reviews and best engineering practices.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, frontend build tools, and monitoring solutions.

• Comfortable using AI coding tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as part of the software development lifecycle.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across globally distributed teams.

• Fluent in spoken and written English.
