Sr Software Development Engineer

We’re hiring a Senior SDE at Stozia. We’re building a next-generation, agentic procurement platform for manufacturers - using AI, LLMs, and intelligent automation to take manual work out of sourcing and procurement. We already work with some of the largest of the manufacturers in India and globally. This is not a typical software role. You’ll be joining early, working closely with the founder and the founding team - and helping build both the product and the intelligence behind it. That means not just building backend systems and APIs, but also contributing to proprietary AI models and intelligent agent systems tailored to procurement and sourcing workflows. If you like solving hard problems, working with ownership, and building from scratch in a fast-moving startup environment, this could be a strong fit. What you’ll work on:

• Building and scaling core product features using Python, PostgreSQL, and APIs.
• Designing robust backend systems for a production-grade platform.
• Contributing to proprietary AI models and intelligent agent systems for real-world procurement use cases.
• Integrating and improving LLM-powered workflows and automation layers.
• Rapid prototyping, experimentation, and turning ideas into reliable product capabilities.
• Working closely with founders on product, architecture, and roadmap decisions.
• Build and deliver full-stack product features independently, from user interface to backend logic to AI orchestration.
• Owning modules end-to-end with minimal supervision.
• Improving system performance, reliability, and overall product quality. What we value: We care less about perfect resumes and more about how you think and build. We’re ideally looking for someone with around 3–4 years of relevant experience, but we care far more about your ability to demonstrate strong technical depth, work independently, and take ownership than about years alone. We’re looking for someone who is:
• Strong in problem-solving and logical thinking.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to figure things out independently.
• Fast, resourceful, and highly ownership-driven.
• Genuinely excited about AI, automation, and building products from scratch.
• Interested in going beyond integrations and contributing to proprietary intelligence.
• Able to move between engineering rigor and startup speed. Tech stack: You should be strong in some or most of the following:
• Python
• FastAPI or Flask
• PostgreSQL / SQL
• REST APIs
• LLM application development
• Familarity tools like langchain/langraph
• Git and Docker basics Bonus if you’ve worked on:
• Scalable backend systems
• Production deployments and performance optimization
• AI/ML model development or fine-tuning
