Position: Senior Sales Engineer Automation & Control Panels (System & Project Sales)

Location: Pune
Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, or Instrumentation
Experience: 4 to 10 years

Role Overview:

The Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing end-to-end sales activities for Siemens automation and control panel projects, including customer development, technical-commercial proposal management, and achievement of sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complete sales lifecycle including lead generation, customer engagement, order finalization, and post-order coordination.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and onboarding new business opportunities.
• Possess strong technical knowledge of Siemens automation products including PLCs, CNCs, DCS, PCS, AC/DC drives, switchgear, electrical panels, and instrumentation panels.
• Handle panel costing and prepare, verify, and finalize technical and commercial quotations.
• Conduct technical discussions with customers and provide application-based automation solutions.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams (project, production, dispatch) and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of orders.
• Manage the complete Purchase Order (PO) process, including obtaining necessary Siemens approvals for each order.
• Visit customers regularly to present, promote, and sell products in line with company standards and policies.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities within the assigned territory to support strategic sales planning.
• Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
• Prepare and submit sales reports as required by management and propose initiatives to improve sales performance.
• Complete all CRM-related activities including new customer entries, opportunity tracking, and reporting.
• Adhere to weekly customer visit plans and sales guidelines as defined by management.
• Take ownership of assigned sales targets and support team performance and turnout as required.

• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical and application knowledge of automation systems and control panels.
• Ability to independently handle technical-commercial discussions and negotiations.
• Customer-focused approach with strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
