Were Hiring a Senior Research Analyst
We are adding one senior researcher to our Market Research team. You will own consulting-grade research reports end to end: scoping the question, structuring the storyline, running the primary and secondary research, and delivering a client-ready report, typically within a two-week cycle. This is a hands-on role. You wont have a large back office or a library of ready-made material behind you, so we are looking for someone who has built reports from a blank page and knows how the best strategy firms do it.
Responsibilities
- Scope and structure: Turn a client question into a research plan, issue tree and report storyline before the research starts.
- Secondary research: Build the fact base on markets, industries, competitors and trends from public sources, company filings, databases and industry reports/
- Primary research: Design interview guides and conduct interviews with client leadership, the clients in-house analysts and subject-matter experts, industry experts and customers. Synthesise what you hear into clear findings.
- Company deep dives: Review the clients internal documents, data and prior work to understand their starting point.
- Analysis and insight: Run market sizing, benchmarking, segmentation and value-chain analyses, and turn the numbers into clear "so-what" recommendations.
- Report production: Independently write and build full-length consulting reports, from executive summary to exhibits, ready for the client within a two-week cycle.
- Quality control: Source every figure, check the numbers and keep the storyline consistent from page one to the appendix.
- Work with the consulting team: Share interim findings with partners and project leads, take feedback and iterate quickly.
- Build the research engine: Help shape our research process, templates and reusable assets as the team grows
What We Are Looking For
Must have
- 5+ years in research roles, ideally in the research or knowledge teams of a strategy consulting firm (MBB, Tier-2 or boutique), or in a corporate strategy research function.
- A track record of independently authoring full-length consulting or industry reports. You will be asked to share one or two sanitised samples.
- Hands-on experience planning and conducting expert and stakeholder interviews.
- Structured, hypothesis-driven problem solving (issue trees, pyramid principle, storylining).
- Excellent business writing in English.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Comfortable working without large proprietary databases: you know how to find, triangulate and validate data yourself.
Nice to have
- MBA or relevant Masters degree.
- Experience with research databases and AI research tools.
- Depth in one or more industries, or familiarity with Nordic and European markets.
- Experience presenting findings directly to clients.
