Sr. React Developer - Full Stack with Java

About the Role

We are looking for a versatile and driven Senior Full-Stack Developer with deep expertise in React.js and a genuine appetite to contribute to Java-based backend development. You will architect and build modern, AI-augmented applications working across the entire stack from pixel-perfect React UIs to robust Spring microservices backed by PostgreSQL.

This role demands both technical breadth and the intellectual curiosity to thrive in a rapidly evolving, AI-first engineering culture.

This is a blended role across two dimensions technology focus and work nature. Candidates should be comfortable wearing multiple hats and switching context fluidly.

• Technology Focus: Primary ownership lies with React.js UI Development (70-75%) architecture, performance, and user experience. Back-end development/contribution (Java / Spring / PostgreSQL) is integral but secondary in daily volume (25-30%).
• Work nature: Most of your time will be in active Product Design and Development (~85%). The support component (~20%) involves triaging production issues, root-cause analysis, bug fixes, and occasional on-call rotations for critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable React.js applications using core and advanced React patterns (hooks, context, portals, suspense, concurrent features).
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex requirements into responsive, performant, and accessible UIs.
• Contribute to Java back-end services built on Spring Boot, including RESTful API design, JPA/Hibernate-based data layers, and service orchestration.
• Write and optimize SQL queries against PostgreSQL; design normalized schemas, indexes, and stored procedures to support high-volume workloads.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; champion quality across both front-end and back-end layers.
• Engage with CI/CD pipelines, container-based deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure as needed.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities and LLM-powered features into product workflows as the team's AI tooling evolves.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Front-End React.js (Must Have)

• Mastery of React.js core: component lifecycle, reconciliation, virtual DOM, JSX patterns.
• Advanced React: custom hooks, context API, React.memo / useMemo / useCallback optimizations, code splitting, lazy loading.
• State management: Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or Recoil; familiarity with server-state libraries (React Query / TanStack Query).
• Routing with React Router v6+; protected routes, dynamic routing, and nested layouts.
• Performance profiling using React DevTools, lighthouse audits, and bundle analysis.
• Strong command of TypeScript for typed React development.
• Styling: CSS Modules, Tailwind CSS, or a component library (MUI / Ant Design); responsive and mobile-first design.
• Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress or Playwright for E2E coverage.

Database PostgreSQL & RDBMS

• Strong RDBMS concepts: normalization, referential integrity, indexing strategies, query execution plans.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL joins, CTEs, window functions, subqueries, and aggregations against large datasets.

Back-End Java & Spring

• Solid Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals SOLID principles, design patterns (Factory, Strategy, Observer, etc.), clean code practices.
• Hands-on or strong knowledge of Java (11+), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
• JPA / Hibernate: entity mapping, JPQL, lazy vs. eager loading, transaction management.
• RESTful API design: OpenAPI/Swagger documentation, versioning strategies, and error-handling conventions.
• Experience with Maven.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Cloud platform experience: Azure.
• Exposure to AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and prompt engineering basics.
• Microservices architecture and distributed system design patterns.
