This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Quality Assurance Associate - Supplier Quality based in the United States.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and supplier performance across a growing portfolio of dietary supplement products. You’ll support supplier quality programs from qualification and audits through investigations, corrective actions, and ongoing performance monitoring. The role combines hands-on GMP quality assurance work with cross-functional collaboration across supply chain, regulatory, formulation, product development, and operations. You’ll help ensure suppliers consistently meet quality, safety, and regulatory expectations while supporting efficient speed to market. Working in a fast-paced and agile environment, you’ll manage multiple priorities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in dietary supplement quality and FDA requirements will directly help protect product quality and strengthen end-to-end compliance. Accountabilities: Manage supplier quality events, including logging and investigating nonconformances, conducting trend and root-cause analyses, coordinating CAPAs, following up on corrective actions, and ensuring timely and effective closure.
Support the supplier qualification program by maintaining accurate and current supplier records and documentation within an electronic quality management system.
Assist with supplier onboarding, qualification, periodic reviews, and requalification for raw material suppliers, packaging suppliers, manufacturers, and warehouses.
Monitor supplier performance by preparing quarterly scorecards, tracking quality metrics and trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess supplier effectiveness.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in supplier quality, compliance, and performance.
Support supplier audits by coordinating schedules, documenting findings, issuing Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), monitoring corrective actions, and verifying effectiveness before closure.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Formulation, Product Development, and Operations teams to resolve supplier quality issues and deliver QA activities on time.
Execute day-to-day GMP quality assurance activities, including quality system documentation, change control support, data trending, and monthly or quarterly KPI reporting.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and regulatory commitments are achieved across the product lifecycle.
Contribute to additional quality projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance, biology, chemistry, medical sciences, pharmacology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
3+ years of direct U.S. dietary supplement or food quality experience.
Strong knowledge of FDA requirements, applicable regulations, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Hands-on experience executing GMP quality assurance processes for a broad portfolio of dietary supplements or related products.
Experience conducting root-cause analysis and investigating nonconformances to support effective CAPA development and implementation.
Applied technical knowledge of GMP requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Strong analytical, organizational, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects, and work both independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience working in a manufacturing or production facility is preferred, particularly 1–3+ years of relevant professional experience.
