Open position for a senior role in fund accounting for one of our Global clients. The candidate is expected to own fund accounting and reporting cycle from NAV to financial statements. You will also be responsible for preparing deliverables & reviewing work of junior team members, liaising with relevant stakeholders and driving accuracy and process improvement.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Understand the intricacies of Funds and Fund-of-Fund investment operations and financial statement reporting preferably Private Equity / Real Estate funds / Private Credit Funds
• Define new procedures and controls to enhance the overall operational risk process
• Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and budget
• Ability to execute detailed procedures based on knowledge of fund controllership, investment books and records, and/or financial reporting processes
• Perform critical accounting activities, including capital calls, valuations, and transaction processing
• Identify, evaluate, and suggest new technology opportunities that is value-driven for platform enablement and act as key differentiators for any offerings in WAM/BCM space.
• Facilitate and encourage the necessary conversations between the Business and Technology to determine the what and the how of the product features.
• Work with Technology and business partners in identifying process improvement areas and bring in the culture of automation.
• Collaborate with business, architects to translate business requirements into scalable solution options and provide inputs to product roadmap/strategy.
• Translate business goals into detailed epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize backlog items, manage change requests, and define release scopes.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of AI capabilities relevant to operations. Participate in AI-enable process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency & quality.
• Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
• Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals

Skills and attributes for success

• 4 -8 years of experience in Asset management sector, Exposure to US based asset management or fund administration firm will be an addon
• The role involves providing hands-on advisory services, including Fund Accounting, Investment Accounting, Financial Reporting, Regulatory and Statutory reporting, and more.
• Advanced proficiency in Fund accounting and financial reporting, Investment accounting, financial statement close process, regulatory and statutory reporting, management and financial reporting, consolidation reporting, advanced data readiness and analytics, governance, controls, and regulation.
• Experience with fund administration and investment accounting platforms like Investran / Eagle / Yardi / Geneva
• Knowledge in Private Equity, Private Credit & Real Estate Funds and investment accounting.
• Experience in operational aspects like NAV finalization, reconciliations, management reporting and investor reporting, reconcile investor capital balances and allocation of Profit & Loss.
• Qualifications for this position require MBA/CA/ACCA/CPA certification.
• Immediate joiners will be added advantage.

Ideally you will also

Have hands-on experience with fund accounting & reporting platforms, and an appetite for applying AI & automation to streamline NAV production, reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

What we look for
