Job Purpose:
To manage material planning, inventory, procurement coordination, and material movement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables for PEB manufacturing and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor material requirements based on production plans, project schedules, and BOM.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchase, Stores, and Projects for timely material availability.
- Prepare and monitor Material Requirement Plans (MRP) and material schedules.
- Track incoming raw materials such as steel plates, coils, sections, accessories, fasteners, welding consumables, and other PEB components.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability.
- Identify material shortages, excess stock, and slow-moving/obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate with the Purchase team for pending purchase orders and expected delivery dates.
- Follow up with vendors for timely material delivery.
- Ensure proper material receipt, inspection, identification, and storage in coordination with Stores and QA/QC.
- Support cost control by minimizing material wastage and unnecessary inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures related to material handling, documentation, and inventory control.
- Coordinate material availability for dispatch and project/site requirements.
