Your key responsibilities

• Role Summary: Responsible for financial and revenue analysis of the Prohibition Excise Department. Evaluate tax structures, revenue trends, pricing mechanisms, and excise frameworks. Support policy formulation and revenue optimization strategies.
• Review current revenue architecture, including tax slabs, excise duties, and license fee models.
• Analyse historical and current revenue across IMFL, Beer, FL, and Country Liquor segments.
• Recommend strategies for tax optimization, MRP rationalization, and revenue enhancement.
• Prepare financial benchmarks with other progressive Indian states.
• Develop financial models and dashboards for projecting revenue under policy scenarios.
• Assess fiscal impact of proposed policy changes on excise revenue.
• Coordinate with Corporation, Excise officials, and technical teams for data collection and validation.
• Draft monthly financial progress reports and presentations for government review.
• Liaise with audit and accounts teams for data clarity and compliance tracking.

Qualifications

• CA / CMA / B.Tech / MBA (Finance) from reputed institutions.
• 6-10 years of experience in financial analysis, taxation, or public finance consulting.
• Preferred experience in government advisory or regulated sectors (alcohol, tobacco, petroleum).
• Strong knowledge of revenue budgeting, financial modeling, and tax policy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and financial analytics tools.
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience

• Alcohol industry or regulatory experience (10+ years)
