Responsibilities

Procurement:

Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet business objectives.

Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships.

Ensure timely procurement of goods and services while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues to maintain high standards of quality and delivery.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels to meet production and customer demands.

Implement inventory control measures to minimize wastage, stock outs, and overstock situations.

Conduct regular audits to track and reconcile inventory discrepancies.

Logistics Management:

Coordinate and optimize the transportation of goods, both domestically and internationally.

Collaborate with third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless and cost-effective transportation.

Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any disruptions promptly.

Cost Management:

Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain and logistics operations.

Analyse and negotiate freight rates, transportation costs, and other related expenses.

Implement cost-effective measures to improve overall profitability.

Compliance:

Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement and logistics.

Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and documentation requirements.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with customs officials and regulatory bodies.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of procurement and logistics professionals.

Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience minimum 8 years in procurement and logistics management.

Strong understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.

Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing procurement and logistics.

Leadership and team management experience.
