Sr. Manager Finance & Accounts

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Manager Finance & Accounts to manage and oversee finance and accounting operations for a manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in inventory accounting, GST, taxation, and day-to-day accounting activities, preferably within a non-pharma manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
• Oversee inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, valuation, and control.
• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of purchase, sales, expenses, and other financial transactions.
• Manage GST compliance, including returns, reconciliations, and related documentation.
• Handle direct and indirect taxation activities and ensure timely statutory compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and statutory authorities as required.
• Review and ensure accuracy of ledgers, journal entries, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely closure of outstanding items.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare and review MIS and other finance-related reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements in finance and accounting processes.
• Work closely with production, purchase, stores, sales, and other departments on finance-related matters.

Must-Have Requirements

• 10-15 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Qualification: CA Inter / ICWA / B.Com.
• Strong experience in a manufacturing environment is mandatory.
• Hands-on knowledge of inventory accounting and controls.
• Strong understanding of GST and taxation.
• Good command of day-to-day accounting operations and reconciliations.
• Candidates from non-pharma manufacturing industries are preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team-management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates who have progressed through hands-on Finance & Accounts roles in a manufacturing organization and have independently handled accounting, inventory, GST, taxation, compliance, and financial closing activities will be preferred.
