Sr. Manager - Export Projects

Role & responsibilities

To ensure efficient, organized, and secure warehouse operations by overseeing receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch functions. The Warehouse Officer is expected to implement best practices in inventory management and support timely Project Team and dispatches while adhering to company standards and compliance requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Understanding of EPC work in Africa. Solar Water Pump experience preferred.

1.      Project Planning & Execution

a.      Plan, schedule, and execute projects as per the scope defined in the contract for overseas market.

b.      Ensure end-to-end delivery including site survey, installation, commissioning, and handover.

c.       Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

                                                              i.     % of total allocated sites installed on time

                                                             ii.     % deviation from planned timelines

2.      Government Scheme Compliance

a.      Ensure implementation is aligned with contract guidelines and respective purchase / country policies.

b.      Adhere to technical, financial, and documentary norms set by purchaser.

c.       KPIs:

                                                              i.     % compliance with purchaser guidelines

                                                             ii.     Zero non-compliance audit observations

3.      Site Survey & Feasibility

a.      Supervise detailed field surveys (GPS tagging, water table, borewell condition, land ownership).

b.      Ensure survey data and beneficiary details are accurate and submitted promptly.

c.       KPIs:

                                                              i.     % of sites surveyed within SLA (e.g., 57 days)

                                                             ii.     % of rejected sites due to inaccurate data

4.      Vendor, Supply Chain & Logistics Management

a.      Coordinate procurement and delivery of material as per contract.

b.      Manage vendors for timely, quality-compliant supply.

c.       KPIs:

                                                              i.     % of supplies delivered on time

                                                             ii.     % of material rejections or failures in QC

5.      Quality Control & Technical Supervision

a.      Ensure adherence to technical specifications.

b.      Implement robust QC measures before and after installation.

c.       KPIs:

                                                              i.     % of successful commissioning on first inspection

                                                             ii.     % reduction in rework/reinstallation cases

6.      Field Team Leadership & Monitoring

a.      Lead and manage installation engineers, site supervisors, and survey teams across regions.

b.      Assign daily/weekly targets, conduct site visits and team reviews.

c.       KPIs:

                                                              i.     % of field targets met per month

                                                             ii.     Team productivity ratio (installations per technician)

7.      Beneficiary Coordination & Grievance Handling

a.      Liaise with farmers and user groups for consent, training, and post-installation feedback.

b.      Resolve service-related complaints swiftly during and after commissioning.

c.       KPIs:

                                                              i.     Beneficiary satisfaction score

                                                             ii.     % of complaints resolved within 72 hours

8.      Reporting, Documentation & MIS

a.      Maintain daily/weekly/monthly reporting to government departments and internal management.

b.      Ensure timely data upload to portals on Govt Platform

c.       KPIs:

                                                              i.     % of reports submitted on time

                                                             ii.     % data accuracy in portal entries

9.      Billing, Subsidy & Payment Tracking

a.      Coordinate preparation of invoices, subsidy claims, and required documentation (e.g., commissioning reports, geo-tagged photos, beneficiary signatures).

b.      Follow up with departments for payment release.

c.       KPIs:

                                                              i.     Billing accuracy rate

                                                             ii.     Average days from billing to fund disbursement

10.   Post-installation AMC & Service

a.      Oversee Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) schedules and ensure uptime of sites post-installation.

b.      Track site performance and service calls during the warranty period.

c.       KPIs:

                                                              i.     % of AMC compliance

                                                             ii.     % of equipment functional >95% uptime

11.   Stakeholder Liaison & Department Coordination

a.      Act as the key interface between your organization and the nodal departments.

b.      Attend meetings, share project progress, and resolve department-level issues.

c.       KPIs:

                                                              i.     Number of escalated issues resolved within 1 week

                                                             ii.     Stakeholder feedback from department officers
