Sr. Manager/AGM - Mining Surveyor | Open-Pit Mining | DRC

Role & Responsibilities

We are hiring Sr. Manager and AGM Mining Surveyor for a leading mining organization in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

• Lead mine surveying activities for open-pit mining operations.
  • Conduct surveys for pit development, excavation, benches, haul roads, dumps, stockpiles and mine infrastructure.
  • Set out pit boundaries, excavation limits, ramps, drilling/blasting areas and other mining activities.
  • Prepare and update mine plans, topographical maps, survey drawings and records.
  • Carry out accurate ore, waste and stockpile volume calculations and support production reconciliation.
  • Operate Total Station, DGPS/GNSS/GPS and other modern surveying instruments.
  • Use relevant GIS, CAD and mine-survey software for survey data processing and reporting.
  • Coordinate closely with Mining, Geology, Mine Planning, Engineering and Production teams.
  • Ensure survey accuracy, timely reporting and compliance with approved mine plans and safety requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 12 to 18 years of relevant mine surveying experience.
  • Strong experience in open-pit mining operations preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with mine survey instruments and survey/mining software.
  • Strong knowledge of pit surveys, volume calculations, stockpile measurement and reconciliation.
  • Copper & Cobalt mining experience will be preferred.
  • Previous DRC/Africa mining experience will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, coordination, reporting and team-management skills.
  • Indian Nationals required.
