Job Summary

To drive the effective management and optimization of conventional reservoirs, ensuring maximum hydrocarbon recovery and long-term reservoir performance through advanced engineering practices and strategic reservoir management.

Responsibilities

• This position will be responsible for supervising Reservoir management of KGD6 fields as required. Individual will be responsible for QC as well as independently carrying out reservoir engineering related studies towards development/depletion plans of producing fields.
• Individual will be associated with independently carrying out classical reservoir engineering studies, simulation studies and production forecasting.
• Individual will be responsible for production monitoring, production start-up, recovery optimization, mitigating risks & uncertainties for the fields. He / she will be involved regarding interaction with DGH, partners and other 3rd party involved in technical studies.
• Quality Checking of PS Model Input & Output Data
• Accountable for reservoir engineering studies related to oil/ gas fields.
• Responsible for conducting Reservoir Simulation studies including production data analysis and production history matching.
• Responsible for field performance analysis using reservoir engineering techniques, variance of expectations and mitigation measures.
• Assessment of reservoir data and preparation of FDP / RFDP with multiple scenarios.
• Responsible for Recovery optimization in terms of evaluating field performance and to identify need for work-over / drilling of in-fill / development wells.
• Support to subsurface Base Management team in efficient planning and delivering the Base Management inputs for production activities including surveillance planning.
• Responsible to supervise complex tasks requiring key skills, advice and guide team members, understanding of business needs and value of work.
• Responsible for providing technical coaching, professional guidance and development work.
• Responsible for timely delivery of Reservoir related inputs for planning well drilling, surface facilities, well stimulation and production operations
• Planning and execution of well testing and analysis including injection fall of testing and pressure build up tests
• Regular interaction with production teams to ensure achievement of committed production targets through meticulous planning and execution
• Accountable for assurance of all activities within team as laid down in CMP. Will be integrating the activities of team towards meaningful value addition in terms of business.
• Participate in reserve assurance process for estimate of resources/ reserves and any third-party studies associated.
• Participate in study of risk and uncertainties associated with development assets and in preparing the risk register.
• Conduct well by well review through systematic approach involving well register and templates for suggesting production enhancement, well remediation plans
• Prepare Reserves reports and estimates for the Business and regulatory purposes
• Review the Production forecasts and economic analysis periodically for tracking with actual field and well performance for taking mid-course corrections as and when required
• Support for formulation of reply to technical queries raised by DGH and other regulatory authorities.
• Participate in TCM/Workshops and lead the presentations.
• Support in third party technical studies related to oil/ gas Fields
• Responsible for recognizing potential consequence of assignment in terms of business and guide team accordingly and communicate with senior management appropriately.

Education

• Bachelor or higher degree in Petroleum Engineering

Experience

• 12 - 16 years of Reservoir Engineering & Field Development experience with reputed Oil & Gas Company

• Good knowledge of Geology, Geophysics, Petro physics and Production Engineering and overall reservoir characterization and static modelling
• Knowledge of classical Reservoir engineering in tools such as SW-Comet 3, Eclipse, Petrel RE, tNav, OFM, Kappa, MBAL
