Sr. IT Business Analyst - Finance & Accounting (D365 F&O)

We are currently hiring for the position of Sr. IT Business Analyst Finance & Accounting (D365 F&O) for our US-based client.

Working Hours: Night Shift – Candidates must be comfortable working with an overlap in the GMT-7 / GMT-8 time zone (US hours), which would generally require evening/night working hours in India (IST).

Important: Working in the required US shift timing is mandatory for this position, as there is no flexibility regarding the shift schedule.
Joining: Immediate Joiner is required.

Client Interaction: The selected candidate will be working directly with the US client on a daily basis. Therefore, excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.

Position Summary:

#The Sr. IT Business Analyst – Finance will play a critical role in providing operational support to multiple Finance teams and ensuring alignment between business needs and technology solutions.

#The role requires strong business analysis, documentation and stakeholder management skills, along with hands-on experience with

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and strong Finance & Accounting domain knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary liaison between Finance, Accounting, business stakeholders, implementation partners and IT teams.
• Provide operational support, issue resolution and continuous improvement for D365 Finance & Operations and related finance applications.
• Lead requirements gathering, process reviews, workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Analyze and document business processes, requirements, use cases, process flows, user stories and functional specifications.
• Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, automation and standardization.
• Support finance-related systems including ERP, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Treasury, Financial Close & Consolidation and Financial Reporting solutions.
• Participate in D365 F&O implementation, enhancement and upgrade projects, including fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment and post-production support.
• Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to support integrations, data migration activities and system enhancements.
• Ensure finance systems support business requirements, internal controls, compliance obligations and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate requirements validation, solution design workshops, Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Develop and execute test plans, validate business requirements and coordinate defect resolution activities.
• Support change management, end-user training, documentation and adoption efforts.
• Work closely with project teams and IT PMO to communicate project status, risks, issues, dependencies and key milestones.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for business processes, requirements, system configurations and support procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
• Strong understanding of Finance, Accounting and Financial Reporting principles.
• Experience participating in ERP implementation, upgrade or business transformation initiatives.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting and validating business requirements.
• Understanding of D365 F&O Finance modules, including:
• General Ledger
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Fixed Assets
• Cash & Bank Management
• Budgeting
• Financial Reporting
• Knowledge of ERP integrations, data migration and master data management concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, Azure DevOps and business process modeling tools.
• Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, analytical and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading or supporting Finance workstreams during D365 F&O implementations.
• Experience with OneStream or similar financial close and consolidation platforms.
• Experience with Dooap AP Automation or other Accounts Payable automation solutions.
• Experience with BlackLine or similar account reconciliation platforms.
• Experience with HighRadius or comparable treasury, cash management and forecasting solutions.
• Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform and financial systems reporting tools.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional certification(s).
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Experience supporting SOX controls, audits or publicly traded company finance operations.
