Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently and effectively manage all IPD Billing activities , including patient registration and billing, to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain records of all IPD bills in line with established protocols.
• Stay updated with all payer plans, policies, and codes for different corporate companies and TPAs.
• Review, update, and monitor payer plans and tariff codes in the Hospital Information System (HIS) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain complete records of all correspondence related to IPD billing patients for error free billing.
• Identify and resolve patient billing complaints promptly; escalate issues to concerned authorities when necessary.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of all daily and monthly billing reports.
• Strive to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction during every patient interaction.
• Maintain department records in compliance with NABH requirements.
• Ensure effective utilization of the Hospital Information System (HIS) for all billing processes.
• Demonstrate familiarity with all relevant instructional manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and NABH protocols.
• Participate in training programs to continuously upgrade professional knowledge and skills.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the HOD from time to time.
