Job Summary

SGT University, Gurugram is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager Purchase (Food & Beverages) to manage end-to-end procurement of food, beverages, kitchen supplies, and related consumables for hospital operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring timely availability, competitive pricing, quality compliance, and efficient vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of food & beverage items, grocery, fresh produce, dairy, beverages, bakery products, kitchen consumables and related supplies.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, commercial terms, credit periods and delivery schedules.
• Ensure procurement is aligned with approved specifications, quality standards and budgets.
• Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with F&B, Kitchen, Nutrition/Dietary, Stores, Finance and other user departments.
• Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders and follow up for timely deliveries.
• Ensure vendor compliance with required food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Monitor vendor performance, product quality, rejection/replacement and service levels.
• Maintain procurement MIS, comparative statements, rate contracts and vendor records.
• Support inventory optimization and reduction of wastage/obsolete stock.
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain/Procurement preferred.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in hospitals, hotels, healthcare, catering or large institutions.
• Strong knowledge of F&B products and supplier markets.
• Good negotiation, analytical and vendor-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/procurement systems.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
