About the Role: T-Mobile's Tax Technology Solutions team builds and modernizes the platforms that power tax calculation, compliance, and reporting across complex enterprise ecosystems. Our applications operate across on-prem and multi-cloud environments, integrating with billing, ERP, and financial systems where scalability, compliance, and performance are critical. What You’ll Do:

• This role is responsible for designing and evolving the cloud deployment architecture and platform enablement strategy supporting T-Mobile's Tax Technology systems. Aligned within the Site Reliability engineering discipline, this position focuses on infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipeline architecture, container orchestration enablement, and multi-cloud deployment patterns across AWS, Azure, OCI, and hybrid environments.
• Define and implement Infrastructure-as-Code standards (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation, or equivalent).
• Design, optimize, and automate CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or equivalent) and environment provisioning workflows for cloud-native and hybrid workloads.
• Enable and integrate observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) into cloud environments and CI/CD workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to optimize cloud provisioning, CI/CD pipeline performance, and infrastructure automation (e.g., pipeline optimization, infrastructure insights).
• Design, build, and operate Kubernetes/TKE platforms and containerization strategies (Docker), defining deployment standards and patterns.
• Design and evolve cloud infrastructure architecture (AWS/Azure), including compute, networking, and environment topology across hybrid environments.
• Drive cloud cost optimization and environment rationalization efforts.
• Partner with application engineers to ensure scalable, secure deployment models.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Cloud and Security teams to align to governance standards.

What You’ll Bring:

• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure (multi-cloud preferred).
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/TKE) and CI/CD pipeline design (GitLab or equivalent).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep).
• Experience designing multi-cloud or hybrid deployment architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, load balancers), IAM, and cloud security fundamentals.
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs in cost, scalability, resilience, and compliance.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development productivity, infrastructure automation, or deployment workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with advanced CI/CD patterns (multi-stage pipelines, release orchestration).
• Experience designing scalable cloud networking architectures (VPCs, load balancing, etc.).
• Experience with enterprise container platforms and platform engineering practices.
• Familiarity with AI-driven DevOps/AIOps capabilities.
• Experience leading or contributing to cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Experience supporting enterprise financial, tax, or ERP-integrated systems.
• Experience operating in regulated environments with strong governance and compliance.
