Sr. Engineer Firmware

Key Responsibilities:

Firmware Design & Development

• Design, specify, and implement functionality and behaviors of embedded control systems.
• Deliver high-quality C/C++ code in a real-time embedded environment.
• Implement power electronics control algorithms tailored to application requirements.
• Participate in sustaining activities for existing products including diagnosis and defect resolution.

Collaboration & System Alignment

• Work jointly with embedded control firmware engineers on system and product architecture.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to align firmware implementations with system requirements.
• Understand hardware schematics and co-design production-ready hardware/software solutions.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Participate in design and code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, bug fixing, verification, and reliability testing.
• Utilize model-based development tools (MATLAB, Simulink) and Typhoon Hardware-in-the-Loop testing.

Project & Global Support

• Work with global firmware teams to implement embedded control algorithms and deploy products globally.
• Maintain adherence to best practices for firmware design, development, and deployment.
• Use source control management tools such as GIT.
