Job Description Position Title: Sr. Engineer / Engineer Process

Position Location: Bangalore

Job Overview: To Plan & Execute the Manufacturing Processes, process flow, process control & process validation for New and Existing parts. Establish process and product requirements; perform feasibility studies on the new project/part. Defining capabilities/limitations of existing manufacturing equipment, and managing prototype development efforts for products. Thorough understanding/Knowledge in IATF Quality systems/Internal auditor certified of IATF/ISO/AS9100.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, Develop & Execute the systems used in the control of the manufacturing process
• Design & Improve manufacturing process through application of Process Engineering tools and techniques and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Plan and Achieve Cost Improvement Target for Existing and New parts.
• Train the Production Team on Providing the Process solutions for Mass Production, including cost down projects.
• Identify the Improvement projects and Monitor the Performance as per set goal and ensures sustenance of established process.
• Recommend new processes where needed for quality improvement, cost reduction and on-time delivery.
• Verify new product specifications and work with Engineering on manufacturability requirements.
• Prepare process control instructions.
• Support Sourcing team for finalizing local flatbed tooling suppliers.
• Manage all paperwork on IATF and AS9100 ie PPAP,PFMEA etc
• Trials and test run of production molds and jigs/fixtures before handover to production for mass production.
• Lead and assist in displaying, tracking Project metrics across the unit to monitor performance and to identify the nature and cause of problems through effective problem solving methods.
• Lead and participate in brainstorming sessions, once an issue/opportunity has been identified, to ascertain the best solution.
• Prepare and train on technical competency for individuals directly involve as process owners.
• To implement and lead 7S in plant.
• Explore and usage of process improvement tools like VSM and Lean Manufacturing.
• Provides thorough instructions for successful implementation of internal process changes.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• BE Mechanical/Production/Electrical/Material Science.
• Total work experience 7 - 10yrs.
• At least 4 to 6 years experience working in a multinational company.
• Knowledge on process engineering in tool room industry will be an added advantage
