Role Summary:
Responsible for the design and development of BIW (Body-in-White) door closures from concept through mass production using Catia V5/V6. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and supports design for manufacturing and quality improvement.
What Youll Do:
- Design and develop BIW closures, including front and rear doors, from concept to mass production
- Perform feasibility checks, master section creation, and component modeling in Catia V5/V6
- Collaborate with digital designers, package engineers, electronics, and other engineering teams
- Communicate with onsite teams and customers, understanding and implementing design modifications
- Guide the team on quality improvement and maturation aligned with project schedules
- Participate in supplier selection and ensure compliance with Asian and European door regulations
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Experience in closure-door design for BIW/Closures
- Proficiency in Catia V5/V6 (4+ years)
- Experience in complete life cycle of door design, including OEM product development
- Knowledge of sheet metal design and stamping processes
- Experience working with Asian/Japanese customers
- Ability to perform 3D, 2D, and 3DA modeling in Catia
- Understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM), product quality, and cost
- Immediate joiners only
Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- Knowledge of door regulations for Asian and European markets
- Experience in supplier selection based on complexity and tool cost
- Understanding of weld gun layout and layout check sheets
