About this role
Job Summary: As a Sr. Engineer in aerospace manufacturing, requires a strong technical background in NC Programming, excellent programming skills with MasterCAM, and a proven track record of programming complex engineering projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
- Hands on experience in 3D Modelling using CAD and CAM (Preferably Master CAM) for Machining
- Experience in CNC Machining and precision manufacturing background.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in CNC machining, with a focus on new part development.
- Demonstrated proficiency in CNC machine operation, programming, and setting.
- Strong GD&T Exposures and analytical skills.
- Proven experience in fixture concept, design and optimization for precision CNC machining environment.
- Track record of successful involvement in advanced product development projects.
- Strong background in Process FMEA, APQP and risk assessment methodologies.
- Knowledge and application of LEAN SIX SIGMA manufacturing principles and tools.
- SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders.
- Project management experience with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in precision machining.
- Good Knowledge in special process like Heat Treatment, Plating, Anodizing, Passivation Etc.,
- Good Machining Knowledge (Machine selection, CNC Programming, Tool Selection, process design etc.)
- Good knowledge on Aerospace / Medical / Defense / automotive Material and standards
- Knowledge in preparing operating instructions (Work Instructions)
- Knowledge in cost estimation for new development parts
- Hands on experience in Vendor development/Vendor Audit. Supplier development, monitoring, auditing & training
- Support Business Development for new projects by getting best price along with cost break up and analyzing.
- Development of new components as per customer requirement & in-house design based on APQP & methodology.
- Preparation of Inspection Plan and defining Measuring Methods
- Finalization of ne w supplier by conducting technical competency
