Role Summary:
Responsible for developing and coordinating 3D electrical MEP models using Revit, with emphasis on cable tray design, routing, junction box layout, and electrical equipment modelling. Collaborates with project teams to ensure model accuracy, compliance, and integration across disciplines.
What Youll Do:
- Develop accurate 3D electrical MEP models using Revit
- Model cable trays, cable routing, junction boxes, and electrical equipment layouts
- Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing teams for MEP integration
- Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks Manage
- Review and interpret electrical schematics, SLDs, and technical drawings
- Generate detailed electrical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation
- Support BIM coordination meetings and model reviews
- Ensure compliance with BIM standards and protocols
- Collaborate with design engineers for model updates
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience as an Electrical Modeller in MEP/BIM projects
- Expert in Revit (Electrical discipline)
- Strong knowledge of cable tray routing, supports, cable management, JB placement, electrical room layouts, and equipment modelling
- Proficient in Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
- Skilled in AutoCAD for 2D electrical drafting
- Good understanding of MEP coordination, BIM workflows, and industry standards
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- Experience in industrial or infrastructure MEP projects
- Familiarity with BIM 360 or other common data environments
- Basic understanding of electrical load calculations or design principles
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
