Sr. DevOps Engineer

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize the build, release, deployment, and operational processes across pre-production and production environments. The role involves supporting development teams building microservices and web-service based applications using technologies such as Golang, Python, ELK, Kubernetes, Docker, and NoSQL databases.

The engineer will leverage Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, repository management, and release automation while ensuring platform reliability, security, and scalability in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services.

Key Responsibilities:

CI/CD & Release Management:

1. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines.

2. Manage build pipelines, release pipelines, and artifact management.

3. Automate build, test, and deployment processes for microservices-based applications.

4. Implement deployment strategies such as rolling, blue-green, or canary deployments.

Containerization & Platform Engineering:

1. Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

2. Maintain Kubernetes clusters ensuring scalability, reliability, and high availability.

3. Optimize container builds and cluster resource utilization.

Cloud Infrastructure:

1. Manage infrastructure on Amazon Web Services including compute, storage, networking, and security services.

2. Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Ansible or Terraform.

3. Automate infrastructure provisioning and environment configuration.

Monitoring & Observability:

1. Implement centralized monitoring and logging using Elastic Stack, Prometheus, and Splunk.

2. Monitor system health, application performance, and infrastructure metrics.

3. Configure alerts and dashboards for proactive incident detection.

Linux System Administration:

1. Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based production systems.

2. Manage server configuration, networking, security hardening, and user access.

3. Perform system patching, vulnerability remediation, and performance tuning.

Automation & Scripting:

1. Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.

2. Create and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration management and deployment automation.

Collaboration & Operations:

1. Work closely with development teams to improve build, release, and deployment workflows.

2. Support production troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis.

3. Implement improvements to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:

1. 6 - 8 years of experience in DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering roles.

2. Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

3. Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts).

4. Strong expertise in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.

5. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

6. Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.

7. Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services cloud services.

8. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Prometheus, or Splunk.

9. Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.

10. Experience managing Git-based repositories.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server will be an added advantage.

2. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.

3. Exposure to production-grade monitoring, alerting, and incident management practices.

4. Experience working with high-availability or large-scale enterprise applications
