Sr. Developer

Job Summary

Sr Developer role focused on designing developing and modernizing analytics and reporting solutions using SAP Business Objects SAP Analytics Cloud and Python based Generative AI and Machine Learning for hybrid work model with day shift. The role requires between six and ten years of experience in enterprise scale environments with emphasis on secure and reliable BI delivery that supports supply chain and wider business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced reporting solutions using SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence Crystal reporting and Universe to deliver reliable insights that directly support critical business operations and data driven decisions
• Develop optimize and maintain SAP BOBJ report publications to ensure timely and personalized distribution of analytics content that improves stakeholder productivity and information accessibility
• Drive SAP BO platform modernization by planning and executing upgrades migrations and feature enablement that enhance scalability stability and future readiness of the analytics landscape
• Implement secure and compliant SAP BO security configurations including roles profiles and folder structures that protect sensitive data while enabling appropriate access for business teams
• Administer SAP BOBJ environments by monitoring system health managing content lifecycles scheduling jobs and coordinating with infrastructure teams to ensure consistent platform availability
• Engineer integrations between SAP BOBJ and SAP Analytics Cloud to enable unified reporting hybrid analytics workflows and smooth transition of key content to modern cloud centric architectures
• Build and enhance Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions using Python to automate insights augment reports with intelligent narratives and improve the predictive capability of business dashboards
• Collaborate closely with functional stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into robust semantic layers and universes that provide consistent and reusable data views
• Optimize report performance by refining queries tuning universes and applying best practices so that large data volumes can be processed efficiently and user experience remains responsive
• Create and maintain SAP Analysis for Office workbooks that connect to SAP and non SAP sources helping business users perform flexible slice and dice analysis within familiar spreadsheet environments
• Document solution designs technical configurations operational procedures and troubleshooting guides so that support teams and peers can maintain and extend the platform with confidence
• Mentor peers on effective use of SAP BOBJ tools Python based analytics techniques and quality standards raising overall team capability and encouraging reuse of proven patterns
• Coordinate with supply chain and other domain experts where relevant to design analytics content that improves visibility into inventory demand planning and logistics performance metrics

Qualifications

• Demonstrate six to ten years of hands on experience in SAP BOBJ administration including installation configuration content management and lifecycle promotion in enterprise environments
• Exhibit strong proficiency in SAP BOBJ Web Intelligence Crystal reports and Universe design with proven ability to build scalable and well structured reporting solutions over complex data models
• Apply solid experience in SAP BO platform modernization including upgrades migration planning regression validation and adoption of new capabilities aligned with organizational strategies
• Show practical background in SAP BOBJ report publications and scheduling including burst distribution personalization techniques and monitoring of delivery success rates
• Use advanced skills in Python programming to build data processing pipelines Machine Learning models and Generative AI components that integrate with existing analytics workflows
• Demonstrate hands on competence in SAP BOBJ and SAP Analytics Cloud integration patterns including live and import connections and alignment of security and governance between platforms
• Maintain clear understanding of SAP BO security concepts such as authentication methods rights management and object level controls to ensure compliant and traceable access to sensitive data
• Utilize working experience with SAP Analysis for Office to deliver interactive workbooks and support business self service analysis while maintaining governance standards
• Apply analytical mindset and structured problem solving approach to troubleshoot performance issues data inconsistencies and user reported defects within BI solutions
• Communicate effectively with technical and business partners by explaining complex analytics concepts in accessible language and by capturing requirements in clear and testable form
• Appreciate supply chain management processes such as procurement production planning and distribution where applicable so that analytics solutions align with operational realities and priorities
• Adapt comfortably to a hybrid work model and day shift schedule while coordinating activities across teams and ensuring consistent delivery of enhancements fixes and support tasks

Certifications Required

SAP Certified Application Associate BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform or equivalent plus any recognized Python or Machine Learning certification will be an added adv.
