Sr. Database Developer

The Role

As a Senior Database Developer in our Technology Group, you will contribute and develop new solutions to aid in achieving AspenTechs Performance Engineering vision. You will leverage your skills and passion to provide leadership that will help drive AspenTechs Asset Optimization strategy.

You Impact

• Design, develop, maintain, and support new and existing data capabilities for AspenTechs Performance Engineering products.
• Collaborate with product managers, product designers and developers to develop detailed product requirements and specifications.
• Keep current with new and developing technologies as they appear in industry and assist in determining the feasibility of implementing new technologies.

What you will need

• Degree in Computer Science, Masters preferred
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• SQL(relational database) and No SQL database skills
• C# coding - query into database
• RDBMS - relational database architecture
• Database Agnostic - open to new Database technologies - Mindset
• We seek engineers who, in addition to expertise with traditional relational databases, are able to evaluate, select, and integrate purpose-built data stores (such as NoSQL, Graph, or Time-Series databases) tailored to specific application needs."
• Proficient with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) technologies and integrating them with application codebases (e.g., Entity Framework, Dapper, NHibernate, or similar)
• Good to have C++
• English language fluency, both written and verbal
