Sr Data Scientist with Machine Learning (US Healthcare or Finance)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with 6 to 10 years of experience and strong hands-on expertise in Machine Learning and advanced analytics, with practical experience developing solutions for fraud detection. Candidates can come from either the Healthcare or Financial Services industry, provided they have worked extensively on Machine Learning-driven fraud detection, risk identification, or anomaly detection use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Machine Learning models for fraud detection and prevention.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify fraud patterns, anomalies, and suspicious behaviors.
• Perform feature engineering, model development, validation, tuning, and performance evaluation.
• Build and enhance predictive and classification models for fraud-related use cases.
• Work hands-on with Python, SQL, statistical techniques, and ML libraries/frameworks.
• Collaborate with business, engineering, product, and analytics teams to translate fraud use cases into ML solutions.
• Evaluate existing models and improve their performance, scalability, and accuracy.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and communicate model insights to technical and business stakeholders.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and enhancement of Machine Learning models in production environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6 to 10 years of Data Science / Machine Learning experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing and implementing Machine Learning models.
• Proven project experience in Fraud Detection, preferably within Healthcare or Financial Services.
• Strong programming experience with Python and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning techniques.
• Experience with classification, anomaly detection, feature engineering, model validation, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of statistics, predictive modeling, and data analysis.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience with Healthcare claims/payment fraud or financial transaction/payment fraud.
• Exposure to cloud-based Data Science/ML environments.
• Experience with model deployment, monitoring, and MLOps practices.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI-assisted development or analytics tools.

Locations: Bangalore / Hyderabad / Chennai / Pune / Vadodara

Shift: 2 PM to 11 PM IST

Work Mode: Hybrid
