Job Overview We’re seeking a
Senior Engineer with strong experience in
API development, Angular UI engineering, and AWS cloud technologies . This role focuses on enabling high‑quality analytics consumption by building curated datasets, high‑performing APIs, and intuitive UI integrations. You will work with data producers, analytics teams, and engineering partners to validate data readiness, design consumption APIs, enhance UI-driven data experiences, and ensure datasets are accessible, governed, and analytics‑ready. This role blends
data engineering + API engineering + modern UI development in a senior, consumer-facing capacity.
Responsibilities API Development (REST/GraphQL)
- Build high-performing APIs for data access, metadata retrieval, dataset previews, and export workflows
- Implement: + Pagination, filtering, and advanced query parameters + Entitlement‑aware access controls + Caching, throttling, and performance enhancements + Bulk vs. micro consumption flows
- Create SDK-style examples, reusable integration templates, and client libraries.
- Sr. Engineer with minimum 8+ years of extensive design and implementation of complex systems in Web, .Net stack and web services
UI Development (Angular)
- Build or enhance Angular UI components for dataset discovery, schema preview, quality insights, and interactive data browsing
- Integrate APIs into Angular services, modules, and components using RxJS and state management
- Improve UX for dataset search, navigation, and metadata visibility
Cloud Engineering (AWS)
- Hands-on work with AWS: + Glue (ETL, Data Catalog) + S3 (data lake layers) + Lambda (serverless orchestration & API logic) + API Gateway (API publishing & security) + IAM (RBAC, policies, entitlements)
- Optimize ETL workflows with AWS-native patterns and best practices
- Implement cloud architectures emphasizing reliability, scalability, and governance
Data Product Readiness & Integration
- Validate datasets for schema clarity, SLAs, quality thresholds, and metadata completeness
- Align datasets to medallion architecture and analytic modeling principles
- Ensure ownership, metadata, classification tags, and quality scoring are documented
- Produce clear dataset documentation: schema, field definitions, examples, usage notes
Collaboration & Leadership
- Serve as SME for API-based data consumption, data modeling, and UI-driven access patterns
- Mentor junior engineers across data engineering, cloud, and UI fundamentals
- Participate in design reviews, grooming sessions, and cross-team architecture discussions
- Advocate for improvements to data access, documentation, and consumer experience

Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Full-Stack/API Development, including designing and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with Angular (components, services, RxJS, and modules) and AWS services including Glue, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and IAM.
- Experience developing and supporting data pipelines using Spark, AWS Glue, Python, and dbt.
- Knowledge of data architecture and engineering concepts, including Medallion Architecture, data modeling (star schema, semantic layers, wide tables), data lineage, metadata management, and data quality practices.
- Experience with SQL-based data platforms (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or similar), Iceberg table format, and Git/GitHub version control workflows.
Preferences
- Database Knowledge (Plus): + Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse + Apache Iceberg + PostgreSQL
- Experience with data catalogs (Glue Catalog, DataHub, Alation, Collibra)
- Understanding of OAuth/OIDC, token-based authentication, API gateway patterns
- Experience with consumer analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot)
- Understanding of governance, classification, and metadata frameworks
